Leather Kind of Love

Sanderson Leather Biker Jacket from All Saints.

Jasper Leather Biker Jacket from All Saints.

Leather jackets are worthy of the splurge. These are investment pieces that can last a lifetime and can be your heirloom as well. Hand it over to the next generation down on your family tree, it instantly becomes a vintage piece. All Saints clothing has a wide range of pieces from menswear to womenswear. I absolutely adore these two in particular.

These jackets can instantly make a simple or boring piece look more interesting. Imagine these outfits without the jacket. It   just leaves them to a casual daily look. As they say, you can never go wrong with black. I reckon if women have their lifesaver little black dress, us guys have black leather jacket. You can wear almost anything with it.

The Super-Skinny-Jeans State of Mind

The currency of my creative mind tells me that I am obsessed with super skinny jeans. That of from ASOS, I was reluctant to try their stuff as I don’t have the chance to fit them but after several tempting moments, I got down and purchased myself a pair on my birthday(to have an excuse to shop). I must say, I am quite distressed of not receiving an invitation. Corny jokes aside, I was extremely happy about the purchase. I bought their Extremely Super Skinny Jeans line in true blue I suppose. It hugs really tight to your body but you can still sit down without cutting circulation.

Although the fit might not be someone else’s cup of tea, I don’t really care much as I am really satisfied and felt really confident wearing it. That’s the bottom line of fashion. As long as you feel like you can carry yourself with anything, go for it! It didn’t bother me that I might look like a sausage from the extremely tight fit. But pair it with a slightly loose or boxy top to balance out the outfit. To maybe hide out your jewels if it gets really tight.

This isn’t a sponsored post of ASOS. But let me share with that they are having 20% off on regular priced items. You just need to download their mobile app. This promo is available thru mobile only. Just key in MOBILEAPP at checkout.

A tip for those interested in purchasing a pair of these, if you don’t like a super snug fit but still want this cut just size up about 1-2 sizes. These pair are right up my alley as they don’t flare like most other skinny jeans. It is so unflattering  and uncomfortable when I see my pants flaring like its not supposed to! So, I really recommend this. A must have for me.

How to Get Away with Guilt

Since it was my birth month, I spoiled myself pretty bad. But I thought it was all worth it. Everything was going well until today I decided to count how much I spent last October for myself and the guilt was real. It struck me like thunder and lightning. And I will never allow myself to do more this month or for the coming months! I need to put shackles to myself. Restrain me. Save me.

In finding ways to make the guilt go away, I have thought ways to keep myself feel better. For instance, rather than losing my wallet, I could have spent it all on something I really wanted. That’s a good one right? Here in Melbourne, inspectors in trams and public transport check myki cards (transportation tickets) and if you get found to be freeloading, you’ll be fined by 200 bucks! So just think of being robbed by a hottie inspector and your guilt may go away.

I don’t do shopping just to show off or anything. Sometimes or most of the time, I just can’t resist the impulse that commercialism has to offer. Especially for someone like me who is as implusive as Rebecca Bloomwood in Confessions of a Shopaholic. I don’t want to go downward spiral just to get everything that I materially want. If there is even such a word. But when shopping I always don’t pay full price, I go for the sale items which are half off the original price. I mean who can resist a genuine leather jacket for 100 dollars which really fits and you fell in love with right after you saw it and can keep you warm in long winter nights.

Nevertheless, finding reasons to make yourself free of the guilt is not a good thing though. Because in the first place you need to find a reason first of getting a product right before purchasing it. It is not a smart practice to make yourself feel better after splurging. What I usually do is, if I saw a good buy off a rack and my heart starts to pound, I quietly turn away and if my conscience wouldn’t let me sleep today. That’s the time to buy it. But when you get back to get it, it's already gone. You can make a scene.

But hey, It’s my birthday anyway! So sorry not sorry. Right Kim K?

#OOTD: Plains and Prints

For sometime, I have been trying to put prints and colours into my outfit choices. I bought the swirl and Koi printed top from the thrift and so is my go-to black jacket. I wore a maroon skinny jeans from Cotton On. To bring balance into the outfit, I pulled over this basic black jacket from the thrift.
To seal the look I wore a grey boots from Kmart.

Most of my clothing choices are either too basic and simple so sometimes I have get out of my comforts and do little or two inserts of prints into what I wear. Sometimes, it brings joy if what you wear has happy, vibrant colours or prints. It pays off sometimes when you take risks not only in fashion but in reality per se. If something works because you tried is a well deserved risk and vice versa. We don’t get to have all so sometimes its okay to be adventurous right?

Men in Celine

I applaud men who step out of the normal to take things to a higher level. Not everyone would take this lux Celine bag in the streets just because it’s not manly or too gay at that. But when you see men take their style game up, it breaks down the walls of mens fashion. Rather than just the predictable.

This fashion forward thinking man, carries a Celine Phantom bag in canvas. Love the colours! You can go to the gym with or go for a shopping afterwards.

This is my ultimate goal, to have my own Celine Mini Luggage. Preferably, the pebbled black one. I love basics. You can just do anything with it. But everything comes with a price of course which is just beyond my bank or most of us. I know this is too much but it’s not impossible. Right? It’s good to have something that you look forward to. Love love love it! I will work hard for this!

Fossil Fueled

Following my recent post, I have to do a separate post for my new squeeze. This ultra chic tan brown wallet from Fossil gave me the urge to just go with it and don’t ever think thrice. I lost my wallet few months ago and my cards are just scrambling around my bag so I really need a new one. It is really hard to search for your cards scattered in your bag like when purchasing something I think the register need to give me 3 minutes to frantically search for the damn card. Not a good scenario. So when I saw this, I thought I really need it.

It has this simple design but means business look. It is not bulky unlike other wallets that I have owned before. There is a designated card holder, a coin purse at the back and a zipped storage for your mobile phone( which I won’t be using as that because my phone is a bit large for it). Really sleek and just with pure functionality. Got this for AUD 40 which originally is 60 bucks but it was on sale. I know it is not the best buy out there but I always have this motto in shopping that when you saw something that you really need and you have enough money, then go for it because next time it might be on other’s hand already when you see it on the streets. And you like wanna just die in regret for not buying it! EXCUSES. EXCUSES. HAHAHA.

I really really love it! It is just perfect for me!

That Kind of Day

Don’t you just have those days that you just want to go out and do something like go shopping even if you don’t have much of a plan what to buy. Well, that day came today and I went to Southwharf DFO(direct factory outlet) in Melbourne to check out the stores there. Not long enough I stumbled upon a gorgeous Fossil wallet that really suited my needs and aesthetic! I mean halleluiah. Haha.

And a super nice salesperson came to me commenting on how she likes my bag and my outfit and of course I was so flattered that someone could be that vocal about her thoughts. She was awesome and cool. She even knows Filipino words. Francesca was her name. And we shared some thoughts about fashion and that she is studying fashion design. How amazing is that? I was even more inspired to get myself to fashion school. So I told her I have a blog and asked for it and I wrote it down. It’s lovely to meet new faces. Gives you more perspective of how every person is different and the same.

What I wore today: Moto jacket- a hand me down from a friend
                                Skull Tshirt- Thrifted
                                Pants- Oxygen
                                Shoes- Stray
                                Bag- SM store

And it’s Melbourne Spring Fashion Week!!!!! I am eggzoited!

Ebay Haul

When you get bored you do this: Online shopping! But no, I’m just kidding. I either need or want these 3 items I purchased from Ebay.

1. Snow White Assassin Decal for Macbook Pro
I was drawn onto the Iron Man as well but I still want to retain the apple logo which is legit in this Snow White decal. I just love it. Something to make your machine look interesting. Bought this for 7 dollars with free shipping.

2. Magnetic USB charger for Xperia Z2

It is convenient to have this handy. It’s like Macbook’s magnetic charger. They might’ve got that idea for this charging port with Xperia Z2. And I thought it’s pretty clever .

3. Nilkin Anti-shatter tempered glass screen guard

This one is the best find I think. You better check this one out. It will not only prevent your unit from scratches but for shattering your phone’s LCD which will save you heaps of cash for sure. The screen also looks clearer and brighter with the tempered glass on. A must try. Got this one for 9 bucks with free shipping. I waited for like more than 2 weeks for this though but it’s worth the wait.

My not-so-good xperience with my Xperia.

Following my pretty sentimental post about my Xperia Z1’s faulty 3.5 mm jack, this is the third unit already that it had been replaced with. It sucks that I already have purchased all its accessories only to find out that it would just be replaced again. Initially, I opted to have the same unit again but I reckoned that it might be that a fault will be there again. Honestly, I am traumatised now. So I asked the manager at JB- Hifi for me to just have another unit. I thought of the new Xperia Z2. So I had it now.

Candidly speaking, I am really in love with the Xperia’s software and design it perfectly suits my taste and aesthetics. It just so happen that I am so lucky to have all these series of unfortunate events rain over me. Or this might be a time to blog this and let the world to know or for Sony to improve their products.

The new Xperia Z2 performs pretty well as of this writing with some lags but in minimal. I love the inputs and specs that have been added to it like the bigger screen and the 4K video recording to name afew. But I like the Xperia Z1 Compact’s design better more specifically with the aluminum side panels. It felt more sleeker than the Z2. I prefer the individual flaps for the charging ports and for the sim rather than the bigger one which exposes the unit more. But overall, I am quite pleased with it above all the things that I have gone thru to their units. I still believe in Sony’s products that is why even if this happened I still went for their products. I prefer this over Samsung’s flagship model Galaxy S5.

I would just like to thank the JB-Hifi people in Elizabeth Street in Melbourne for their patience. But I just think I deserve more than this. For now, this thing should behave well or I’m going to lose it. What an experience I had. As a customer, you have to fight for your rights and so I did.

It Socks to be you.

My friends and I went to the city rummage some shops at Spencer Shopping Centre. Then I stopped by Roger David and stumbled upon these amazing finds! Skull and aztec printed socks! Just right on time for the cold season. I have been wanting to own these pieces but they’re too pricey and finally got hold of them at a very reasonable price. They were on sale at 15 bucks for 6 pairs. What a steal right?

Really happy that I found these!

Perfect accessory for this fall and winter. This can be styled by rolling up your skinny jeans or your chinos plus going for a pair of boots or an oxford shoes.

Can’t wait to rock them with my outfits!

Just Your Ordinary Collective Haul

Thank God my floral obsession came to life. I unearthed this floral t-shirt at a local boutique here in Angeles City for Php 400. The print I thought was too large it makes you look a little bigger but that’s just fine. But hey it’s not that bad.

I admit that I am so attached with the grey or black ensemble. However, I want to move out of my comforts and wanted to be more adventurous and risky with my style choices. This retailed Php 150 at the thrift store. This Koi-inspired sweatshirt is that perfect mix of colours that will definitely light up the room when I wear it! Haha.

OMG. Digging this skull cardigan! Bought this for just Php 130. I mean it’s that combo of edge and casual which I love. Can’t wait to wear this! I mean not now in the summery weather.

ASOS has been bringing good and quality clothing to their costumers via their online store. I stumbled upon this jean shirt with plaid detail which was a bit too tight on me but still I went with it. This retailed at AUD 7 at Savers. I can’t stop purchasing denim tops. I mean they are one of the timeless pieces so I can’t have too many denim tops right? Lol #makingexcusesformyself

Flannel is in! This wool and cotton fabric can make you feel warm during autumn or winter. I have thought of styling this by tying it around your waist. But this could be a style essentials too during music festivals. Just pair this up with a tank top wear it as is and have a rolled up shorts and boots and you’re ready. And if you get sweaty and stuff you can remove it and tie around your waist which is like a 90s style identifier. Is it 90s? or 80s? whatever. Still it keeps your style game up a notch And got this for Php 180.

What are your thoughts with my hauls? Share your hauls too on the comments below! I love seeing other’s makes me feel good. Lol

I Am Not A

I am not definitely Red Coat or -A in Pretty Little Liars. But I happen to stumble upon this quite nice coat hanging from the ceiling of my favorite thrift store here in Pampanga. It’s a Bossini red coat. The store was having a sale. So lucky! I got this for Php 115 only. Quite a steal!

This coat fitted with my outfit haha.

Mirror Selfie Confessions

During Boxing Day, I wore this pretty relaxed ensemble. You have to be comfortable since you’ll be roaming around the city rummaging for amazing deals and whatnot. There were good deals but I was a little disenchanted because there wasn’t really stuff that would grab your attention for the price they are asking.

However, just when you thought the day is over I saw these two stuffs. I got the neclace from Lovisa. Lovisa has heaps of cool stuffs specifically for women but I don’t really care.

Super Adorbs!!!
Skull Ring from Lovisa. A present from my friend Clara.
The gold tusk like necklace from Lovisa.
Thrifted H&M Top
Thrifted Mango Track suit pants
Customized Oxford flats
Necklace by Lovisa
Watch by Fossil

The Salvation Army Haul

My latest Thrifting Chronicle article!

From my latest thrift haul, I got these awesome goods. Salvos is an opportunity shop that sells all sorts of goods from home furnishings, utensils, and down to my favourite section the clothes! There are amazing things in there you just have to keep your eyes wide open and be open minded. You will surely have a great time shopping.

This first item is a tuxedo-like blazer tailor made from ASOS. At first it didn’t really struck me really but when I tried it on, it sure did fitted me like a glove. Though there was a little fit issue on my arms but it’s Still a Steal! Gladly got a good item that will surely last. That will give me a run for my money.

Sorry I am so fatty now! hahaha.

Meanwhile my second steal was this belt. It really looks cool. It has this old, rugged look which makes me really want it.

Lastly, this geometrically printed shirt is relatively simple and the fit was good on me. Just right for scorching summer heat here down under. I got these for half the price so yes! Such a steal!!

I didn’t include the prices because I might get smacked down by my Mom. Hahaha. Love you Mama!

It Pays to have Good Bottoms

After an enormous time off the blogosphere, my hauls got stacked up in the closet. And now is their time to scream and shout and let it all out. Haha. No, their time to shine!

My first item is this maroonish red boat shoes that I got from a thrift store near the hospital which I had my placement. Thank God there’s something good went with that placement Haha. #kidding I got these for just $5. A total best buy!

Style tip: Best paired with shorts for the summer and spring but could also be paired with a rolled up pants with or without socks. You could actually style this with printed socks that would complement your outfit which could give your ensemble a kick.

Or go sockless. Get ready for major smelly foot. Haha. I recommend wearing foot socks.
Being the house for the retail brand Cotton On, Australia got heaps of factory outlets. And luckily I laid my eyes on these pair of Chukka/dessert boots initially worth $10 and when I got to the counter I was even more surprised that it was just for 5 bucks! How lucky can you get? Well…

Style tip: With boots you can go anything with it. Wear it with tight fitting jeans or shorts. You can’t go wrong. Or be adventurous by putting on a printed socks.

Woot woot! My not insured legs Haha.

Love this shot from the beach!

#OMG, shopping, shopping and shopping. And shopping again. Jeez, shopping. Thank you for shopping! Hahaha! More to come.

The Greenbelt Sale

I just love Ayala Malls. The most stylish and customer-centered shopping mall is holding a scavenger hunt, the Greenbelt Shopping Race! Just accomplish the tasks stated above and you just might win Stella Luna Shoes, P30,000 shopping spree(oh my jeezas) and travel packages. This is in line with the mall's on going sale and here’s more good news because they have extended the sale to July 31!

Be sure to get those tasks done in style! I would pop up there in Greenbelt and be like those teens scrambling from one store to the other. haha.

Shop like there’s no tomorrow! Because there are more ways and reasons to shop.

Full Throttle Shopping Failure

This a repost of my last week’s post. I just want to make it still searchable in Google and other search engines for everyone to know. As I may put it, it was barred from the Google search engine for the purpose that I assumed to be true. Being a business mogul, people have ways to shut stuff up and my blog is evidently not an exception. Dropping bombs from my last weeks post, I think this was the reason. And so I am reblogging it. Suck this!

Last April 28, I bought an Urban Luggage from SM City Pampanga during their sale worth 3, 000 pesos. Before I purchased it, I raised my observation that the wheels aren’t going smoothly as expected so the sales representative sent me to the Department store(because the sale was held at the warehouse) to put on some lubricant on the wheels. They said that it was because its an old stock. June 7, while I was inspecting the wheels, I found out that the two front wheels are not rolling as they are supposed to. And my receipt was missing already. I voiced this complaint to SM City Pampanga’s twitter account.

I can’t just sit at home and do nothing so without ado I went to SM Pampanga first to ask if they will still accept replacement even without a receipt and so the sales representative said yes and told me to bring the luggage and so I did the same day. Only to find out that he will just put on lubricant to the wheels. He showed me options for replacement which are horrible. I was in utter rage because I went there just for that? And to think how far I traveled just to get there. A bad one hour travel via PUV plus the fact that I am carrying something like a big cross.

Then I received a reply few days after and tweeted me this:

@SMCityPampanga: @Kenny4taleza Sir, kindly DM your contact info so The SM Store can get in touch with you. Thank you.

So I tweeted my number. I received a call from Ms. Lei, the branch manager after 3 days and told me that she received an email regarding my complaint and I aired my story. She kindly said that I can go with the replacement and if I decide to go and have my suitcase replaced, to inform her so that the voucher could be prepared. I appreciated this effort, coming even from the brach manager herself. I felt important as a customer.

I had a date with my friends Saturday June 15 at SM Pampanga, and so I thought to drop by at the luggage department and look for a good replacement. I spotted a suitcase that I want. The sales personnel called Ms. Lei and we had a little talk. Told them that I’ll be coming back the next day with my luggage.

Yesterday, I was getting ready to go the mall. I called it extra challenge part two. The most gruelling part was the travel, the hassle, the inconvenient truth.( please laugh) But I was not happy. Arrived at the mall, and I went directly to the luggage department. They did their thing there and all. The luggage was Super Light as labelled on the front. Inspected the suitcase. So there I got the new luggage with the same URBAN luggage brand. I went home. At home, I tried to put my things to see how it is. To my horror, I found a tear near the ridge of the suitcase. I was flabbergasted. Does this mean that the suitcase was really super light? As in super light quality? I can’t believe this tragedy happened to me. Fury at its peak. What have I done to deserve this? Immediately, I called mom and we rented a vehicle going to SM Pampanga. That costed us so much that I don’t want to think or talk about it. As I couldn’t afford to get stressed out riding a PUV. Upon getting there, I just exploded and didn’t care people staring and eavesdropping. The managers were there. They tried to console me but I was consumed by my anger. That was the third time!! Not even second. Third!! So disappointing. Wait no that’s not the word. No, it’s like no words couldn’t describe this.

Ms. Lei was calling on my mobile phone. I recounted to her what happened. To her chagrin, she was shocked and was apologising about the terrible horrible incident. She gave me options. I can make a full refund, or another replacement. But I just stuck with the original suitcase that I returned which was way better than the second one. I just appreciated that the managers where kind and warm.

Please review your products. This Urban luggage brand needs to get their act together and do something about this. Because I am not keeping my mouth shut about this. I might also be a negligent shopper for not meticulously checking these items but my god shouldn’t these products be at their finest condition before they hit the stores?

This is traumatising.

Confessions of a Not-So Shopaholic

I was in Marquee Mall with my sister. As I was going thru the sale rack, I stumbled upon this dapper jacket with faux leather shoulder patch detail. I have this fondness for clothes that accentuate or mimic strong shoulders like epaulettes and this unique leather patch. Interestingly, I got this super chic jacket for 600 pesos only(just $14) which originally retails at 1,399 pesos. Seldom do I spoil myself with ‘new’ clothes lately as I am also stretching my spending power and this one’s right on the money.

Upon seeing the movie, Confessions of a Shopaholic this morning I was saving myself from the guilt of overspending. Because unfortunately(as I would want to put it), I saw an equally on-trend denim jacket also on the sale rack for only 800 pesos. But I successfully got hold of myself, the shopaholic in me, to fight against it. hehe. Please, I deserve an applause. haha.

SAVED 799 pesos! Proud of this haul! two thumbs up.

Folded and Hung is having their end-of-the-season sale this whole month of June! Grab this chance. :)
