That Kind of Day

Don’t you just have those days that you just want to go out and do something like go shopping even if you don’t have much of a plan what to buy. Well, that day came today and I went to Southwharf DFO(direct factory outlet) in Melbourne to check out the stores there. Not long enough I stumbled upon a gorgeous Fossil wallet that really suited my needs and aesthetic! I mean halleluiah. Haha.

And a super nice salesperson came to me commenting on how she likes my bag and my outfit and of course I was so flattered that someone could be that vocal about her thoughts. She was awesome and cool. She even knows Filipino words. Francesca was her name. And we shared some thoughts about fashion and that she is studying fashion design. How amazing is that? I was even more inspired to get myself to fashion school. So I told her I have a blog and asked for it and I wrote it down. It’s lovely to meet new faces. Gives you more perspective of how every person is different and the same.

What I wore today: Moto jacket- a hand me down from a friend
                                Skull Tshirt- Thrifted
                                Pants- Oxygen
                                Shoes- Stray
                                Bag- SM store

And it’s Melbourne Spring Fashion Week!!!!! I am eggzoited!

#OOTD: Untitled

Yesterday, I got sucked by Lookbook’s hot #ootd posts. So I got inspired and got my style on. In this ensemble I tried to add formal by tucking the shirt and accented it with a brown belt to also match the jacket. The jacket was a newly thrifted piece from Savers. I really like this jacket it’s so warm and the earth tone colour did make me like it even more. The jacket was a 90’s inspired look which I think is coming back. I reckon. I rolled up my pants and went without socks to have that casual vibe and just went with my very dependable black sneakers from Stray.

And a friggin selfie of course!!! Haha.

Happy Sunday everyone!

#OOTD: Jeans Dean

It’s my nod to denim and it’s iconic contribution to the fashion world. The top is a thrifted piece I got from the Philippines while my favorite tight fitting jeans are from Oxygen Clothing, one of my go-to brands in the Philippines. Oh how I missed shopping there! The black jacket is my staple outerwear when I can’t think anything else to pair with my outfit. It’s so versatile that it can fit into any ensemble given that it was just a thrifted piece I got for 100 pesos or like 2 bucks?

Went full on denim on denim in this #ootd post. I went with this light washed denim shirt to have a contrast with my darkly washed denim skinny jeans. To also camouflage that it is not a jean shirt is my goal in this ensemble. Tbh, I really like how the simplicity of this ensemble came together. It’s so me! hehe.

I hope you guys liked my OOTD post.

The “I’m quite distressed denim shirt”!! haha

Forget about the mess of this toilet! hahaha.

and my ridiculous smile here! I look terrible but I still uploaded it. haha.

OOTD AW '14

Definitely, there are no ants or whatever below. Haha.

I am not fixing anything just a way to get shot. Haha.

One day I decided to go matchy matchy with my outfit. Tried to pull off a mix of casual street style and a bit of preppiness which I can say best describes my style. Red is my favourite colour. It is just a perfect pop of colour to make any outfit stand out and look exciting.

About my outfit: This coat is a thrifted piece I got from the Philippines which is from the brand Bossini. The material is polyester which is perfect for the rainy winter days here. Then the shirt I wore but is barely seen here is from Oxygen. The black scarf is also a thrifted piece. Scarves and bonnets are must haves to bring because you’ll never know when it becomes really cold. It pays to get them handy. Skinny jeans are from Oxygen too. Who wears boat shoes during winter? Haha. I do. Guilty. But I thought it suited my ensemble. It was also thrifted from a local thrift here in Melbourne.
The Msense bag is from SM Store.

I love how this look came together. Leave down your comments below and tell me what you guys think!

Kenny and the City

So the day started, I went to the Victoria State Library to get some errands done. They have free internet there, an array of desktops for all to use. Thank you to the government. Lol. But I have my machine so I just needed a wifi connection.

I just happen to snapshot this awesome view as I went inside the library.

After I got bored, my senses told me to do some window shopping at H&M at Melbourne's GPO. I must say the display was classy and cool. I haven’t seen such sophistication with other H&M stores I have been to but it may also be because of the buildings architecture and historical heritage. Buildings here in Melbourne are being restored and preserved to really bring in the ambience of Australia.

This is the top view from the Men’s department at the second floor. Quite a sight to see actually.

And then there was me. There are real trees inside like leaves falling while you flick through the racks.

I decided to be casual that day. Got some heaps of things to carry like my laptop and other stuff.
WHAT I wore?
1. Flannel top that I thrifted when I had my vacay in the Philippines. (Wow, VACAY! Yes, I am claiming it!)
2. plain black singlet from Folded and Hung
3. Moss green pants from Uniqlo (the first Uniqlo flagship store has just opened here down under a week after H&M opened their first flagship store as well) Indeed, Melbourne is the shopping capital now.
4. Stray rubber shoes from Roger David.  I got only for 15 bucks at a sale. It resembles those New balance shoes I have been drooling on.

And the mannequins are…….everywhere.

And capped the night with this breathtaking skyline of Melbourne!

See ya all next time!

School Day Everyday

A sunny day in Autumn, strolled around the streets of Melbourne to spot some cool finds. A lot of the streets feel like I have been time warped into the old days of the world. The Victorian inspired imprints on the buildings and establishments.

A summery day like this means wearing your shorts or flip flops on or whatever makes you comfortable. I wore this gorgeous thrifted top paired with Cotton on shorts and Sperry boat shoes. I accessorised A little bit and wore my backpack and Cotton On watch. I was supposed to wear a red skinny jeans but my mates here held me back as it is too hot outside. Happy, I listened to them!

This was shot at Melbourne Central at the 3rd level.

At the Little Library, mimicking a nerdy dude. Lol. But really I borrowed a mystery book there which will keep me busy during long trips at the train or on the tram.

It’s a school day everyday. You got to learn something from different people you talk to or just mere observations. It’s a school day everyday. I reckon.

Finally, H&M in Australia!

After so many years of clamouring and starving for this retail brand, H&M is finally stepping foot into the Australian grounds. Opening the Swedish retail giant flagship store at Melbourne’s GPO, the shopping capital of Australia. Aussies and H&M fans are finally getting their piece of heaven! H&M will go head to head with the biggest department stores here in Australia, Myer and David Jones also alongside Zara. It is known that it will also have a 3 storey building. This will surely stir the market and competition. A healthy competition I reckon! It’s about time.

I am so excited! H&M opens April 5 at Bourke Street beside Myer. Miranda Kerr models for the ads which are all over the city.

Stoked!

Bright, Brighter, Brighton

Yeah What up?
Patiently waiting for my destination! At Brighton Beach, Melbourne.

Tourist mode here at the beach. The weather was quite cool so a jacket is a must have! The beach has a very picturesque view. Making some pose here and there. Thank you Tita Liz for the shot.

I must say I love this shot.

Wallpaper ready! Love love this view!
Lot’s of boxes to choose from. Breathtaking view.

#NoselfieNoGlory

The beach was infested with pre-nuptial photo shoots like shark-infested haha #kidding but this beach is not shark-infested of course. I am not so surprised that couples choose to shoot here, the view is just a perfect backdrop for any occasion. There were like 3 wedding photo shoots I saw there that day.

You gotta have a shot at the Stralya Flag Box!

With the super adorable Tita Liz!

And Meh!!! Haha.

Birthday Boy/Graduation Boy

Your first adult birthday away from home, away from the all the comforts you have. When you are all alone you are just in it to find what you can call safe zone away from home. I am gladly happy to say and know that I have found that even way beyond that. My family here in Australia are just so kind and  they make you feel that you really belong to them. From the time I got here, until now more and more people I get to know and I have seen how they welcome me as a not-so-stranger. Frankly speaking, I didn’t have that hard time to adjust here because the people around me made that easy for me.

I may have shed tears and downs here but it was all about having your support always there to give you a hand. I can really say I am so lucky although I got through those times when I just got out of luck. I still am a lucky guy!

I miss everything from way back home. But this is what I have been dreaming of and I have to make this work. Tears ran down as I am striking each letter in this. Please don’t be sorry for me. I am just happy too that I have made it on my own without someone to do everything for me. Making those adult steps one at a time. More to go!

This is the summary of my birthday/graduation day! I had a blast for sure. People here really made me feel I’m not away from home.

In the classroom before the graduation ceremony.

Say cheese!

The side view.

With my girls, Gwen, She and Mae.

With my alleged girlfriend here in Oz. Lol.

And while I am blowing my cake someone’s busy with something. Lol

Thank you Luena for this! Such a sweet treat! Figuratively and literally!
