Cool Hunts 101

This tailored shorts from Straightforward.ph is the perfect mix of casual and formal. I can dress up this wearing a tailored long-sleeved top and a pair of brogues or dress down by just putting on a tank top and a pair of boots. It retails at Php. 519 plus 85 for the delivery fee. Not so bad!
I guess I’m obsessing with florals now. This extra chic Hina Tropical jacket is a dream that will not come true for me. Haha. Because it is super expensive. It retails at GBP 298.80. But the print is just so chic! #fashiongasm Actually, this is best paired with that Straightforward tailored shorts right?

This elegant and expensive looking camel coat is to die for. I wanna have it in my closet! It’s a must have especially for autumn or winter. This camel color is so delicious and rich I want to eat it. Lol

Speaking of eating.
That’s why I gained so much weight right now is because of my voracious appetite! This is my favorite snack. Can’t get enough of this. I want moooore. :( Too bad I couldn’t find this in Australia. Bad.

This song really captured my tune hungry ears. I love the EDM aspect of the song. It’s something that is fresh and not too mainstream. Sometimes, you also seek for those songs which can replace your daily fix of pop songs or mainstream ones. Kid Ink’s Sunset did that for me. Replay button on repeat. Rape it!

Until my next cool hunting! xo

The Psalms of the Romans

After almost a decade post High School, we emerged what we are now. From Doctors to soon-to-be Lawyer to almost all sorts of professionals, this is the future that we have been aiming back then. But I am not that keen on saying that to myself because this is not where I dreamt to be just yet. Soon enough I can be on that place.

Kriska, the golden-voiced siren of our class spearheaded the reunion of our Psalms and Romans class. We were expecting around 50 people but of course some are already living their own lives somewhere so we can just expect for less. The date and venue got finalized. De Paolo’s Restaurant was the unanimous choice. It was our favourite go-to place in High School where they serve the ever popular potato croquette!

I am not certain of the people who will attend because I am too preoccupied with a lot of stuffs. On November 2, the day of the reunion, I still went with Mads, Cente, Audrey and Roi to have lunch. We did heaps of stuff tirelessly. Mads is a batch mate of mine and then too so we decided go together at the reunion dinner.

Of course, we arrived late. Like what’s new? Haha. As we entered the restaurant, from afar I can only count them with my hands, a bit nervous to see them again. I haven’t got used to social events like these. Mads and I roamed around to kiss and hug and say our hellos to everyone. I am elated to see them but now at a different view, in a more matured way. I was a bit surprised that they were clamoring about my blogging stint. Felt good that they knew about that and thank you Facebook!

During dinner, we rekindled our high school madness and updated each other with career and whatnot. It was nostalgia all over as we run down the crazy stuffs we did back then. Knowing friends achieve what they have right now was truly inspiring. Thereafter, we decided to have coffee at Coffee en Tree, a local coffee shop. Lots of snapshots and chats befell. The place was cozy and encouraged us to stay longer and closely get to exchange personal tales and gossip!

 With the curvaceous Hazel haha.

 With bestie pretty Madsy. :)

The night was concluded with kiss and hugs as we all parted. It’s great to be with our good old friends. Until next time friends!

To our sponsors who generously picked up the tab, thank you Doc Jean, Architect Carla and Carlo. You guys are awesome!! I want to get sponsored as well. Haha.

This is your blogger friend,

Kenny :)

Just Another Day On Earth

The night before Halloween I celebrated my birthday with a pretty simple party with my closest best friends. Actually, this was an instantaneous idea we had with my Mom while we were dining at McDonald’s the day before my birthday. We were supposed to just go out with my family to celebrate my day.

Mads came super early and I am not even home yet! I thought that she will eat drop and run haha just like what she did last year. Right my dear? Good enough she was early because there was a power outage in their area. We had a long chat about her hang ups and issues. Haha. Don’t worry Mads I won’t drop the bomb here. Audrey and Cente were my other guests but Audrey couldn’t make it because she chose my birthday of all the days that she can schedule her tooth extraction! But that’s fine. She did make it up to that and I shall post about that part soon.

Cente came and we started loading food in our tummies. Mom was toxic serving us. Thank you Mom! The three of us stayed all night opening up stories to talk about and secrets to unveil. They did crazy things. Haha. It was definitely fun. You all made me happy.

A really simple but happy day for me.

We went out the day after with Audrey.

Thank you Guys! Love you. :)

Hell of a Month

I was supposed to publish this a week ago but then I thought I might entitle this post with "Hell Month”. Because it has been and will be but I ain’t complaining! Octoberiffic it is!

Last week welcomed me with an explosion of appointments. Monday started with a graveyard shift work at the hospital. It ended with a very controversial meeting with co-employees that tackled serious issues related to work. I haven’t slept enough so I was really eager to get out of the meeting and I did.

At 11 AM of Tuesday, I got out of the hospital. With a strict intention to look fresh and hot (haha) as I can before my meet up with my special best friend Mads who just got back from the U.S. and my other best mates Audrey and Cente. I caught some sleep and I headed out again. And there we all met. We had the best time!

It Will Rain

It is really raining cats and dogs. Although, there isn’t any typhoon! I can’t got out but Mom managed to go. She’s so unstoppable. I hope she does get home safe. And while the rain is busy shedding, I shall do my stuff at home. This shall keep me company and fat!

Custard/ Creme Caramel

This video by Bruno Mars is just fitting. KEEP SAFE everyone!

Sweet Lovin'

Yesterday, my Mom and my brother made some custard or others call it creme caramel but here in the Philippines we call it “Leche Flan”. It is one of the most favorite Filipino desserts and it is commonly served during festivals or on other special occasions. There isn’t any special event whatsoever but my brother is just so eager to make one to satisfy his or our cravings. The process is a bit messy. My role was just to cover the flans with plastic to prevent steam from settling into the container while cooking.

My mom was worried that we might have diabetes from too much sugar. But that’s okay! The end product was heavenly mouth-watering. The consistency is not too soft and not too jelly like. Finally, after several attempts to perfect the technique we did a good job.

I’ll post other pictures later.

Choco pies and choco mallows, why so yummy?

My brother Kris went home yesterday bringing some goodies from work. My brother works as an English Instructor for foreign students. His’ students gave him presents like Korean noodles, chilli paste, and Choco pies! Of course, my eyes popped out once I spotted the pies. I have a sweet tooth and can’t resist these tasty treats. So after dinner, we ate the Choco pies. Bluntly speaking, that was the yummiest, heavenly and daintiest Choco pie I have ever tasted(Honestly). But, I got sad when I woke up today and I checked the box empty(haha).

I also tried another Choco pie (the one with the red box) from Lotte but I think this is the classic version. It also tastes fine but not as much as I have enjoyed the latter. My Korean students before once told me about this and they said that Choco pies are given by Korean girls to their boyfriends who will go on military training. I also googled this and according to Wikipedia it is given to Korean Military soldiers after their first week of training. No wonder they have to give them pies.

Here in the Philippines, we have Fibisco’s Choco Mallows(with the yellow box). This has been my staple answer to my sugary cravings. It is usually packed in a box of 6 and can also be sold in packs of two. This is my favorite Filipino sweet treat. This has been in the market for decades(I don’t have the exact details) and until now it still has a strong following.

Ugh, these sugary indulgence. They make me fat and nonchalant!
