It’s Beach, B*tch.

The breathtaking view at Altona Beach

Just staring at these makes me forget all the worries I have.

Selfie Selfie din! haha.

Emotionally Motivated Output! #EMO

That looooong stare. Problems? Nah!

At Max Brunner’s, their yummy sweet indulgences!

Ate Gwen and her chocolate factory.

Gwen invited me to meet her sister, Ate Edge and Kuya Ton. It was such a perfect time to cool off from the stressful corners of the school. We went to Altona beach which was breathtaking but freezing cold! Haha. The beach front was so romantic. Ate Gwen even told that is the place where Kuya Ton proposed to Ate Edge. Isn’t that so sweeet!

Then after that we headed to Highpoint, a shopping mall in Altona. We had a Mexican dinner and ate some burrito and then grabbed some coffee at Max Brunners! So so delicious! Thank you so much Ga, Ate Edge and Kuya Ton for the treat and clothes you bought for me.

To have people like them share their kindness is such a sweet gesture. I truly adore and appreciate it especially for someone whom they barely even know. Thank you so much!

No way but the High-way

Last week was a hell of week. From wee hour call times to a great load of patients to a distant travel to the site, we were able to endure all of that. Of course with friends at your side, no work is that hard if you’re having fun right?

Even though the entire week was super taxing, we still were able to inject fun and craziness. Haha. It’s what it should be. No stress just love.

At the Expressway Tollway Balintawak Office.

The Expressway. We didn’t waste time shooting here. Haha.

To the left, to the left.

The pose of the century.

Stolen Shot? Nah! haha

Feeling the greeneries along the high way with smoke, traffic and noise. So much fun!

There’s only one way to happiness. It’s your choice and you know it.

Wait for my next post with my friends at work! :)

Note to Self

Let us attract positive vibes…..Let this be our mantra.

I think I’m not myself tonight. Haha. I am so positive all of a sudden.

Teehee. I just don’t want to get swallowed by issues that aren’t supposed to be thought of in the first place.

The Bright Idea Project

While I was rummaging SM city Clark, a local mall here in the Philippines, I got caught up with the laptop and gadget cases. I was specifically interested with this Case Logic Envelope sleeve. It really looked sleek and sharp plus its waterproof. Although it is a bit pricey at $68, you will definitely get what you pay for.

The opening of the sleeve is higher than usual to create a tight seal for protecting the unit from any spilling liquids. Bright Idea eh?

That brings us to my Bright idea project, the great leather sleeve! I sketched a design that I want with all the details in it. Then, I pitched this to my Mom to ask for some funding(she paid for it all)! haha. Yes, I’m broke as hell. Planning to get this done to my shoe/bag store where I got my oxford flats done. I chose a leather of my liking. They said it will cost me like 1,400 pesos or $34. Not bad really, it’s half the price of the Case Logic laptop sleeve.

I designed it in a way that it is simple and classic so it can withstand time. Timeless design. Having said that I can also use it as a clutch bag whenever I want to. A fashion forward accessory for a style savvy like me.

I was pleased with the result! And I should be. :)

Wait for my next bright idea project! And I’m feeling that it won’t be that of a long wait. :)

The Summer Salt

Although it’s almost summer all year round here in the Philippines, it’s still the most fun season of the year. A perfect excuse to just dress like your at home. With just a tank top, shorts, and flipflops and you’re good to go. And when you say summer, you instantly think of the beach. Right so...

The colour story of the summer season are usually bright tones to pastels. Neons are also making the waves now. Most of the time, people think that to wear white or something neon against a tanned skin is a perfect suicide. Like to look darker as you are, Filipinos have that thinking but I am wrecking that. Let’s embrace and love our colour. We should wear whatever we want for as long as we are comfortable with it and still be able to reflect our own personal style.

The taste of summer is always sweet but the beach tells us otherwise. Well, literally that is. hehe.

Boston Selfies myself. Haha

I miss these two! Shirley and Cath! :)

The one that got away.

I can make a delicacy out of the sand! Polovoron. lol

Yes what?

I am totally in love with these shots. I just used the timer here. Love.

About the look:

The top yellow shirt is from Folded & Hung. The checkered top is thrifted. The green board shorts is from Roxy and the khaki brown shorts was purchased from Surplus shop. Flip flops by Havaianas.

The photos were just selfies and timer-powered. And everything is dated. Surprisingly, they are amazing! I especially love the back shots. :)

Taking Chances

During my first day in Baguio City, my friends decided to have a photo shoot. It was such a cool, breezy, fun and crazy day. I felt like a star for a moment.

The denim top is thrifted which I bought for 200 pesos. I decided to hype the top by installing metal studs to mimic the collar tips as shown from my previous DIY post, Let’s Get The Party Studded. It proved to be a great decision. This look was inspired by David Guison, a note-worthy fashion blogger. I like how the whole look came together. I must admit this is not within my comfort zone. The printed socks and shoes are a signature look from David Guison. The socks were from MEMO and the Oxford shoes are especially custom made. I am glad that I took the extra mile with this look. Thank you David G. for the style inspiration.

Thank you to RM Photography for gladly capturing our craziness and allure. Haha. Kudos! You can seek his service thru RM Photography.

Don't forget to hype this look on Lookbook.nu/knyfortaleza.

Lesson learned: If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.

Kicks To Go

I was constantly searching for this kicks when I saw a guy at the mall in them. I couldn’t let my eyes off these. Though I couldn’t tell if they are feet friendly but I can tell they are really good from where I stood. Too shy to ask the guy. My research paid off just today. They are Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse! Thank Heavens. I love these two colours especially.

I Don’t Like It.

My best friend, Tel Mistal went home from Dubai. She is my shopping buddy/best friend/confidant. I missed her really. It was refreshing to see her in the flesh again. Although, Audrey, our best friend went missing-in-action that day. Perfect to catch up, we did babble about her stay there and some crazy wild stuffs. Haha. We went to see Les Misérables with her gorgeous boyfriend, Cente. Though I wasn’t keen on seeing the movie initially but it proved that my impressions were wrong. The movie was spectacular.

On top of that, she got me these pair of Sanuk sandals. I don’t like it. I love them! Thank you Telers. And thank you too Jel for the chocolates.

Hissing to 2013

Hissing my way to 2013.

I haven't thought that I can wear this heavy print just right for the new year. I am not a print person and this is definitely a risk. I am really scared of prints so call me brave now. haha.

Cheers to 2013! Happy new year guys!

It's a Very Denim Christmas

It will be  a denim-filled Christmas for me. I decided to not spend too much this season and just have some of my stuffs repaired. I had a difficult time to have garments repaired. There are a lot of things to consider like a good repair shop, getting to let the tailor know what you want to do, the condition of the denim, sometimes repair shops beg off because it is hard to deconstruct the garment but yes I made them do it with a lot of bargaining and begging. Haha. This time around I learned my lesson to not get my tops get repaired again and just find a perfect fit.

I got the vest for just 50 pesos! Plus the repair fee that is 130 pesos. The repair is far expensive than the garment. haha. While the long sleeve shirt which I got for 250 pesos I think is not a recent purchase. If you can remember this from my previous post that I bleached this is that. Also, I had it repaired and fit to my physique. Lastly, the brown Replay denim which I purchased from a thrift store for only 200 pesos! They were on sale so I was lucky and bought it right away. The original cut of this denim jean was a baggy straight cut  fit. From last summer, I was raving for this colour however it is so expensive for me like almost 2,000 pesos and when I saw this from a far I did not think twice. My denim jean repair shop gladly accepted it and gave me what I want and I was so happy with the result.

You can pair the vest with a plain tee and that brown pants or a black pants will do. But I am planning on using the vest with a plain black tee. While the long sleeve shirt is perfect with a printed tee inside and have it paired with the brown pants. You can also style this long sleeve tucked in using a thin belt to give a dapper crisp look.

It’s a holiday look for less. You don’t actually have to spend so much to look gorgeous this holiday season. Enjoy and have fun this Yuletide season! :)

I love this Salvatore Mann Bag

406800_489407941090147_884502194_n

Definitely, I found what I want for Christmas. This a backpack/hand bag Salvatore Mann brand that I saw from SM department store priced at 1, 000 pesos. SM Accessories and Filipino designers are really stepping it up. I think this is not pure leather but the feel of the bag is just soft and comfortable. And I love it. Moreover the zipper detail made it look edgy but still dapper chic and really screams out my name. This will be in my hands comes this weekend! Happiness.

Spectacular Spectacles

The new Giordano specs

Since I owned my Ermenegildo Zegna Specs from 2010, I haven't upgraded my glasses. My vision expectedly got worse. Long hours I spent in my laptop is a predominant culprit. Kim, my sister also has a refraction error and needs to get her own glasses so I went with her one day. We got our pair of glasses from Ideal Vision, an optical center. The successor to my EZ specs is a pair of Giordano spectacles that suited me well according to my sister and I think this looks better on me than the previous.

The Best Comes From Random Things

I love it when I don’t have generous time to think what my outfit would be for a particular event or night out. The best ensembles come out when I do not think too much. Well, that is certified true even for exams! haha. Don’t give me so much time because I will surely make the most out of it.

What I wore: thrifted plaid shirt, MTI striped shirt, tailor made wool shorts, Glads sandals from Oxygen

This is what I wore to a catch-up coffee treat by Doc Jess, the kindest and sweetest Doc we know! I am thrilled to get to talk to her since she started her training 2 years ago and it has been a while.

With Mommy A and Doc Jess
