Sasa Summer

This is a Cotton On ensemble except for the cardigan by Bershka. Wore this to the city to go for shopping. I know it is a little too late for summer here in Australia but I’m still in for summer in the Philippines! Lol. Summer in OZ is really really hot like barbecue hot. That’s why when I went home last February, I told myself that I wouldn’t even utter a word for nagging about the hot weather in the Philippines.

Going back, I just love this laid back style. Just a tank and shorts. I reckon I should’ve ditched the boots but yeah. The Australian street style is quite simple but still they have that exciting element to their every outfit that I am trying to adapt. It is not that too overboard to do but still emanates a fashion sensibility that I can still identify myself in.

The Summer Salt

Although it’s almost summer all year round here in the Philippines, it’s still the most fun season of the year. A perfect excuse to just dress like your at home. With just a tank top, shorts, and flipflops and you’re good to go. And when you say summer, you instantly think of the beach. Right so...

The colour story of the summer season are usually bright tones to pastels. Neons are also making the waves now. Most of the time, people think that to wear white or something neon against a tanned skin is a perfect suicide. Like to look darker as you are, Filipinos have that thinking but I am wrecking that. Let’s embrace and love our colour. We should wear whatever we want for as long as we are comfortable with it and still be able to reflect our own personal style.

The taste of summer is always sweet but the beach tells us otherwise. Well, literally that is. hehe.

Boston Selfies myself. Haha

I miss these two! Shirley and Cath! :)

The one that got away.

I can make a delicacy out of the sand! Polovoron. lol

Yes what?

I am totally in love with these shots. I just used the timer here. Love.

About the look:

The top yellow shirt is from Folded & Hung. The checkered top is thrifted. The green board shorts is from Roxy and the khaki brown shorts was purchased from Surplus shop. Flip flops by Havaianas.

The photos were just selfies and timer-powered. And everything is dated. Surprisingly, they are amazing! I especially love the back shots. :)

Lookbook Love

There are a lot of chic and dapper looks that were put up together by stylistas on LOOKBOOK.nu. Anyone can draw inspiration from these looks. If imitation is a felony, I would have been without a doubt an offender then.

I normally go for clean, dapper looks but of course, I also am a fashion risk taker. Once in a while, I go out of my comfort zone and try to explore options. Since it’s almost summer all year here in the Philippines, I usually go for shorts and shirts for an easy casual look. I also do a lot of layering. But the perfect time to be stylish here is during the rainy months. It is during these times that we can experiment and get some layering going or get those knits out of the closet.

Here are the looks from LOOKBOOK.nu which I can say reflect my style.

Anywhere in the World

Beat TV is a daily entertainment show broadcast on ITV2 and in 30 other countries including South Africa, USA, and Italy(According to wikipedia). Everyday I see the commercial plug for the show on ETC(a lifestyle channel in the Philippines), with accompanying feel good vibe song. So as I listen to it everyday, it kind of grew on me already and I am ready to download it. I googled few lines from the song and consulted YouTube.

As part of  Coca-Cola’s Move to the Beat promotional campaign for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, the song was produced and recorded

Here is the single by Mark Ronson and Katy B.
