Vlog on Spotlight: Clothes Encounters

One of my new obsessions is watching fashion vlogs on Youtube. To name a few are The Fashion Citizen and Bethany Mota, and Clothes Encounter is a new discovery for me. Jenn Im’s Youtube channel is quite addictive that I always watch her hauls and styling videos. Even if they are womenswear videos, I can still pick up styling ideas there to my own. Because there aren’t too many mens fashion vlogs on Youtube I am stumbled on watching more womens vlogs which are really quite entertaining.

Jenn has her unique spin on fashion. It’s not redundant or boring. It’s fresh and exciting. Actually excited for her future in the fashion world. I reckon she’s gonna go really far. I was quite amazed when her fans queued in Singapore when she went there. That was really something. Her style is not too girly that I like and it has that balance of everything. She is my style inspiration. Her thrift finds makes me really want to come to the US and rummage all the Goodwill stores there! I feel sorry for myself of not being there. :( Quite sad, but that’s my goal to to New York and other states and unravel great stuffs.

Jenn is really gorgeous. I actually have a crush on her. Haha. I am saying that out loud! Haha. Love you Jenn! Hope to meet you. :)

I guess I’m obsessing with florals now. This extra chic Hina Tropical jacket is a dream that will not come true for me. Haha. Because it is super expensive. It retails at GBP 298.80. But the print is just so chic! #fashiongasm Actually, this is best paired with that Straightforward tailored shorts right?

This elegant and expensive looking camel coat is to die for. I wanna have it in my closet! It’s a must have especially for autumn or winter. This camel color is so delicious and rich I want to eat it. Lol

That’s why I gained so much weight right now is because of my voracious appetite! This is my favorite snack. Can’t get enough of this. I want moooore. :( Too bad I couldn’t find this in Australia. Bad.


This song really captured my tune hungry ears. I love the EDM aspect of the song. It’s something that is fresh and not too mainstream. Sometimes, you also seek for those songs which can replace your daily fix of pop songs or mainstream ones. Kid Ink’s Sunset did that for me. Replay button on repeat. Rape it!

And the wait is over! Katy Perry as Katy Patra, the Egyptian queen. To be honest, I was really expecting a video with deeper story but no. The video was okay. It was visually rich though and entertaining. I just wish there could be something more to it to make it more interesting.

Katy Perry’s Dark Horse featuring Juicy J is really a dark horse when it was released but after quite sometime it came really strong. To be honest, I wasn’t really digging this song before but it just grew on me. I really can’t wait for the Egyptian queen, Katy Patra!

POP Explosion

Lady Gaga’s much anticipated album is slated to be released on November  11, 2013. It was supposed to be on September but she suffered from an injury during her Born This Way concert ball.

Applause is the lead single from the album. Vincent Herbert, Lady Gaga’s manager commented about the album’s material and said “Just insane, great records.” Can you wait until August 19 for her single release? I can’t wait either!!!!

Meanwhile, another pop superstar is also set to release her equally anticipated album! Katy Perry’s Prism album which will go head-to-head with Gaga’s which will be released October 22. Roar is speculated to be the lead single from Katy’s album. Dr. Luke, Max Martin among others co wrote this song also with her hits like Teenage Dream, California Girls. Dr. Luke hinted via a tweet, “and the single starts with an R..” Then a fan asked if it is a Katy Perry song, he replied “Maybe”.

I Can Feel This Moment

This is the just-released music video of Pitbull and Christina Aguilera’s power combo tune, Feel This Moment! I got to say that Xtina shed some weight in here but this is just the perfect weight on her, not too skinny but not too hefty. The song is a remix of the song Take On Me by A-Ha. The upbeat tempo of the song will get you off your feet and start jumping in like the concert crowd. I think this is the first video I’ve seen from Pitbull where there are no semi-naked women dancing with him and a classy video from him.

Just Breathe

This song was released more than a decade ago but still is kicking arse. Truly, a timeless song. Classy, euphoric vibe, I must describe it as. Breathe sends me into this different kind of high every time I listen to it. More of like, a state of a lucid dream  It never fails to calm my nerves. Chris Long at the BBC described it as, "a deliciously silky track that lolls by a holiday pool and enjoys the sunshine." Couldn't agree more. Enjoy the track everyone!
