All Alone

Started to work with the black pants first and tried on several shirts for the top and then it all came together. I am attending my best friends’ wedding, Cente and Tel which we have been preparing for months. The attire is strictly Barong Tagalog for the men but yes I was given permission by the bride to wear what I want. Ha! She really is my best friend. Haha.

The ensemble is looking smart casual than formal but I think it did look like that because I rolled up the sleeves and unbuttoned the shirt. Forgive me but it is really a hot day so those are necessary to survive the wedding at the Church.

I am nowhere near the jungle, but the lipstick jungle. Kidding. This was shot at our backyard. I was thinking of wearing a black belt but I thought it’s boring so I opted for the brown. By the way, this slim belt is reversible if you change your mind and you want black then just twist it and you’re good. I really like that functionality. It gives you convenience and it’s a price of one for two.

Meanwhile, I wasn’t intending on having brown for my accessories it just happened. And it went well I think. I love my addition of the clutch.

And before I forget, I would like to thank my friends for ditching me on the wedding! I understand but yes it sucks to be alone. And common it’s our friend’s wedding.  You guys are awesome! haha. Kidding. :)

What I wore: Jean Top and pants from Uniqlo, Belt from The SM Store, Shoes custom made, Leather clutch custom made, Specs from Giordano

Hype this look on lookbook! Please? Lol.

The Bright Idea Project x Satchel Bag

I got an idea to get a bag that I want to be custom made. Laxamana Shoe Store and Supplies is the first thing that came to my mind to get this to life. This is the same store that made my leather clutch/laptop sleeve. Though they cater mostly shoes, I tried my luck. Carefully, I explained what I want and brought some sketches. I was thinking of a functional bag where I can fit in my laptop and stuffs, also for a normal stroll in the mall with friends.

A satchel was on my mind and black is the colour I chose. Black as it is formal and yet it can translate into different settings.

When I went to my go-to shoe store, Laxamana Shoes here in Angeles City, I was in high hopes that they can give me the exact bag that I wanted them to make happen. But I should’ve gave my myself a heads up that I was in a shoe store not a bag store. I showed them pictures of the design that I want, the details and all. Being my first time to get a bag custom made, I forgot some details that I need to specify like the bag handles, straps. I guess that can learned for next time. I don’t have a bigger picture of the bag dimensions so some measurements were a bit big to my liking.

The thing here is in the end I was happy with the product even though there were some details that I wish I did. The bag’s design was greatly inspired by this bag I saw from Pinterest. Overall, it may not be exactly as I have pictured in my head but it was something that I will surely want. It looked more expensive and classier than the casualness of the original design.

This is how it turned out. I’m happy with it, though I still had some alterations done. It’s quite sleek and sturdy!

What are your thoughts guys?

I would love to hear from you.

Vintage Finds

I went out few days ago and saw this flea market. As I was making my way through, I stumbled across one store selling vintage accessories and I got excited! There are one of kind pieces made from years back I guess (basing from the age of the seller, haha). First to get my attention is this C. Stein necklace with a cross pendant. It looked old and a little worn out which helped it to look a lot better. According to my research, this pendant was designed around 1960s to 1970s in silver toned metal. The next is an oversized stainless steel ring studded with a black gemstone. I think this one is in the women’s territory but I don’t mind. It can definitely be an accent piece to your outfit. Lastly, the copper colored ring, I think is also made of stainless steel from Ralph Lauren.

Total: 200 Pesos for the three. Beat that!
