It Will Rain

It is really raining cats and dogs. Although, there isn’t any typhoon! I can’t got out but Mom managed to go. She’s so unstoppable. I hope she does get home safe. And while the rain is busy shedding, I shall do my stuff at home. This shall keep me company and fat!

Sweet Lovin'

Yesterday, my Mom and my brother made some custard or others call it creme caramel but here in the Philippines we call it “Leche Flan”. It is one of the most favorite Filipino desserts and it is commonly served during festivals or on other special occasions. There isn’t any special event whatsoever but my brother is just so eager to make one to satisfy his or our cravings. The process is a bit messy. My role was just to cover the flans with plastic to prevent steam from settling into the container while cooking.

My mom was worried that we might have diabetes from too much sugar. But that’s okay! The end product was heavenly mouth-watering. The consistency is not too soft and not too jelly like. Finally, after several attempts to perfect the technique we did a good job.

Adele Weather

It’s raining for weeks and Adele can keep me company through this season. And now I’m starting the day with Adele’s Turning Tables such a great song. This kind of weather makes a good time for hibernation and waking up is a tough task to do haha. Keep safe ya’ll! Guten Morgan.

I heard Mass a few hours ago with my sister Kim after she had her hair done. The Mass Presider gave a really moving homily and it got me to think introspectively. He said that the rich are striving to be even more rich, the powerful are lengthening their control, the billionaires are becoming gazillionaires. Given that you may have everything in this world but in the end you will end up with nothing. He added that we need to invest with food that will keep us full forever. Absolutely true! So Bill Gates and all business tycoons endow the world with your earthly fortunes haha. As what Jessie J said in her song it’s not about the money. So let us do good to ourselves and then to others. Share our blessings. When did I get so serious? Yikes.
