OOTD for Style Origin 2013

At the Style Origin 2013 Runway show we were required to dress up in street chic style. I was thinking of wearing a dress shirt and a pair of shorts to show a mix of casual which is street style and sophistication. The gladiator sandals were my touch of extra punch and edge also that extra pop of colour. The Folded and Hung jacket was a last minute touch up because it was hot too but I still brought it. Gladly I did because people there were all dressed so.

Confessions of a Not-So Shopaholic

I was in Marquee Mall with my sister. As I was going thru the sale rack, I stumbled upon this dapper jacket with faux leather shoulder patch detail. I have this fondness for clothes that accentuate or mimic strong shoulders like epaulettes and this unique leather patch. Interestingly, I got this super chic jacket for 600 pesos only(just $14) which originally retails at 1,399 pesos. Seldom do I spoil myself with ‘new’ clothes lately as I am also stretching my spending power and this one’s right on the money.

Upon seeing the movie, Confessions of a Shopaholic this morning I was saving myself from the guilt of overspending. Because unfortunately(as I would want to put it), I saw an equally on-trend denim jacket also on the sale rack for only 800 pesos. But I successfully got hold of myself, the shopaholic in me, to fight against it. hehe. Please, I deserve an applause. haha.

SAVED 799 pesos! Proud of this haul! two thumbs up.

Aim High, Fly High

Now about the look that I wore for the reunion. I really just want to wear a sleeveless top because it really is hot but I went to just layering it with a military shirt to cover up the skin. Haha. The thrifted Lee Jeans stretch pants is super tight on me but the Folded and Hung Military shirt kind of  balanced the whole look. I decided to pair this with my newly acquired Oxygen Gladiators.

The look is retro inspired from the Ermenegildo Zegna Aviator Specs to the military vibe. So for the accessorising part, I went with my also newly obtained sexy vintage Casio DB-360 gold watch and a gold chained bracelet. I purchased the Gold Casio watch from Alboe Fashion, an online store at a very competitive price. Gold is starting to go mainstream again.
