My not-so-good xperience with my Xperia.

Following my pretty sentimental post about my Xperia Z1’s faulty 3.5 mm jack, this is the third unit already that it had been replaced with. It sucks that I already have purchased all its accessories only to find out that it would just be replaced again. Initially, I opted to have the same unit again but I reckoned that it might be that a fault will be there again. Honestly, I am traumatised now. So I asked the manager at JB- Hifi for me to just have another unit. I thought of the new Xperia Z2. So I had it now.

Candidly speaking, I am really in love with the Xperia’s software and design it perfectly suits my taste and aesthetics. It just so happen that I am so lucky to have all these series of unfortunate events rain over me. Or this might be a time to blog this and let the world to know or for Sony to improve their products.

The new Xperia Z2 performs pretty well as of this writing with some lags but in minimal. I love the inputs and specs that have been added to it like the bigger screen and the 4K video recording to name afew. But I like the Xperia Z1 Compact’s design better more specifically with the aluminum side panels. It felt more sleeker than the Z2. I prefer the individual flaps for the charging ports and for the sim rather than the bigger one which exposes the unit more. But overall, I am quite pleased with it above all the things that I have gone thru to their units. I still believe in Sony’s products that is why even if this happened I still went for their products. I prefer this over Samsung’s flagship model Galaxy S5.

I would just like to thank the JB-Hifi people in Elizabeth Street in Melbourne for their patience. But I just think I deserve more than this. For now, this thing should behave well or I’m going to lose it. What an experience I had. As a customer, you have to fight for your rights and so I did.

Mirrors of Selfie

It’s been really hard to get a OOTD post for awhile as I couldn’t get my looks captured the way I want it to so I just opted for this mirror selfie. Lol. This time around I wanted to achieve a preppy ensemble but not too formal. The Aussie style is one thing I am learning to adapt. I really adore their style. Just simply put casual chic. It’s winter time here so I am just excited to layer up and mix and match pieces. Something that I have been looking forward because in the Philippines can I seldom do this and it’s pretty hot even if its rains.

I have put a lot of outfits since the last post but I didn’t get the chance to get them photographed. That’s just too bad. But sometimes I don’t really like to get all published here. But, yeah I’ll try my best for you to see.

I have been lazy blogging lately! Sorry. :)

The jacket is from Folded and Hung.
The button down shirt is a thrifted piece I unravelled on my vacation in the Philippines.
Navy green trousers from Cotton On
Brown boots are custom made.
The bag is from the SM Store.

It’s a Deadly Kiss

Sorry for this yucky pic. Lol but it says a lot about broken hearts. But not literally the heart.

This is the song of the moment. For my housemate, whose heart has been run over by a big yellow school bus. R.I.P. to her loving, saintly heart. This post is for you. Hahaha.

Make It Two…Slits

Can you keep up with these two? If Ange made us swoon over her thigh high one sided slit. Well, make way for this super waist high double slit courtesy of Kendall Jenner. I am not sure if the center panel was stuck to her to prevent a major wardrobe malfunction. But what I’m sure is she is a fashion risk taker here. I hope the wind blows and let’s see what we will see. Lol

Kendall definitely got everyone heads turning at MuchMusic Awards with Kylie wearing a more covered up look. Kendall’s floor length gown was made by Fausto Puglisi.

Did I just say two slits? Maybe I got that wrong. or Three? Haha.

Faults in my Stars

This Xperia Z1 Compact was purchased last May and after a few weeks I got a lot of faults. Immediately, I sent it back to JB Hi-fi, a mobile phone store here in Melbourne. Initially they won’t accept it as they have to see the fault itself. I have so many issues with it. One is the screening turning black and on and poor slow performance. So I took a video of it and they gladly replaced it.

And I thought that I was done with that but later I discovered that when I plug it in an external speaker it won’t play but instead just the loudspeaker will play. I mean come on!!!!

I sent a message to Sony Mobile AU via their Facebook page. They responded as this is a audio bug and a new update has just been released named 757 update. But I have the latest update so that doesn’t do me anything….I am totally pissed right now.

Shoestopper

I am currently obsessing with this YouTube vlogger, Jenny Im of Clothes Encounter. Discovered this ultimate Doc Martens copper spectra shoes from her recent video and I couldn’t breathe. Hahaha. I need to have these. Oh my God. This is a definite showstopper. A statement piece in my wardrobe! Haha.

Quite frankly, I won’t be surprised if I receive a parcel at my doorstep. Lol.

#InstaUpdate

It’s winter time here down under. And I decided to wear these comfy and warm clothes. Definitely not a matchy matchy ensemble rather clashing? haha. The top is a US Navy sweats and my PJs are with these cutesy baby prints. Posted this on my Instagram. Follow me at @knyfortaleza.

I hope you guys are having a nice Sunday! Happy Father’s Day by the way!

Playlist of the Moment

Iggy Azalea, the Aussie born rapper was an unexpected bet for me to be honest. The first time, I saw her perform was during Beyonce’s Mrs. Carter World Tour here in Melbourne in which she was the opening act. Who is this girl?, I told to myself. And then she rose to the charts and got a record with The Beatles for having consecutive no. 1 and 2 singles in the charts. Quite a feat for a newbie.

Anyhow, her “Fancy" single grew to me finally.

Next is Christina Grimmie’s Hold on We’re Going Home cover from The latest season of The Voice. This was the first time I heard of this song and I want it to stay that way. Lol. Super love this performance. Superb.

John Mayer made this song his. This XO cover was so original to him. And I think Beyonce will agree. Lol

Kenny and the City

So the day started, I went to the Victoria State Library to get some errands done. They have free internet there, an array of desktops for all to use. Thank you to the government. Lol. But I have my machine so I just needed a wifi connection.

I just happen to snapshot this awesome view as I went inside the library.

After I got bored, my senses told me to do some window shopping at H&M at Melbourne's GPO. I must say the display was classy and cool. I haven’t seen such sophistication with other H&M stores I have been to but it may also be because of the buildings architecture and historical heritage. Buildings here in Melbourne are being restored and preserved to really bring in the ambience of Australia.

This is the top view from the Men’s department at the second floor. Quite a sight to see actually.

And then there was me. There are real trees inside like leaves falling while you flick through the racks.

I decided to be casual that day. Got some heaps of things to carry like my laptop and other stuff.
WHAT I wore?
1. Flannel top that I thrifted when I had my vacay in the Philippines. (Wow, VACAY! Yes, I am claiming it!)
2. plain black singlet from Folded and Hung
3. Moss green pants from Uniqlo (the first Uniqlo flagship store has just opened here down under a week after H&M opened their first flagship store as well) Indeed, Melbourne is the shopping capital now.
4. Stray rubber shoes from Roger David.  I got only for 15 bucks at a sale. It resembles those New balance shoes I have been drooling on.

And the mannequins are…….everywhere.

And capped the night with this breathtaking skyline of Melbourne!

See ya all next time!
